MBO pulling out of the FX and Animation payroll biz?

We recently heard that MBO, a predatory Employer of Record, is pulling out of payroll administration for FX and Animation related business. I’ll post more as I confirm the story and find out more information.

I turned down 4 jobs this year because the studio was using MBO or YUCOR. Producers were shocked I would turn away work for this reason. Someone has to make a stand though. The sad thing is… it’s the EOR is pulling out, NOT the studios saying NO to the EOR. The studios using EOR’s have no respect for the people doing the actual work. Commercials are delivered and on the air before artists are even paid.
